Second screen experiences, or apps which allow you to interact with what’s showing on TV via mobile or connected device, are becoming increasingly popular around Hollywood and Madison Avenue. But experts still question their value to the entertainment, movie and music industry, and whether we wouldn’t be better off enhancing the viewing experience that takes place on the main screen itself. As a guest speaker and futurist for Billboard magazine at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2013, we were asked to take a deeper look at the future of television, and render our verdict.
